Parents who want their child to take a serious step in 2026 ask us every week: which swimming camps are there, when and where? In this overview we list all ZwemExpert camps for 2026 — from the May half-term to the end of August.
Which swimming camps are we running in 2026?
In 2026 we run two main camps for competitive swimmers, each aimed at a specific period:
- May half-term camp in Italy — a build-up block towards the summer season. 50m pool, Olympic coaches, altitude. See ZwemExpert Competitive Swimming Summer Camp 2026 for dates and places.
- Summer camp Torremolinos (Spain) — a week in late July/early August at the Sandos Griego Hotel on the Costa del Sol. Two sessions per day in a 50m pool, flight and transfer included. Details: ZwemExpert Competitive Swimming Summer Camp 2026 .
Alongside the swimming camps we also run a diving camp at the same location. That is a completely separate programme — see our diving article for more info.
Who are these camps for?
Our camps are designed for competitive swimmers aged roughly 10 to 18 who train regularly at a club and want to make serious progress. The difference from an ordinary sports camp comes down to three things:
- Coach-to-swimmer ratio (with us a maximum of 1 coach per 6 swimmers in the water)
- Access to a 50m pool — unusual training territory for most clubs
- Guidance from coaches with Olympic experience
What's included with ZwemExpert?
For all camps in 2026, this is included in the price as standard:
- Accommodation on location (hotel)
- Three meals a day, designed for athletes
- Two daily sessions in a 50m pool
- Dryland sessions, video analysis and competition psychology
- Supervised flight + transfer (for the camps abroad)
- An end report per swimmer with personal areas for improvement

Frequently asked questions
What is the average age at a ZwemExpert camp?
Most participants are between 12 and 16 years old. We swim in ability groups, not age groups.
My child isn't at national-championship level yet — is this still for them?
Yes, as long as they train regularly at a club and want to get serious. We work a lot with swimmers in the phase between grassroots and elite.
