FAQ Swim Camps 2026

ZwemExpert is designed for ambitious competitive swimmers aged 10 to 18 who are serious about improving. Your child does not have to be an elite athlete, but should train at a swimming club and swim competitively.

We work with Olympic swimmers and World/European Championship medallists as coaches. The final coaching line-up is usually announced 4 to 6 weeks before the camp. Our team's expertise is independent of which coach is present — every camp is led at the highest level.

Our camps are popular and fill up on average 6 to 8 weeks after opening. Early-bird discount is available as long as the deadline has not passed.

Yes. Our supervision ratio is low: a maximum of 10 participants per supervisor. Outside training hours a supervisor is always available and active.

Parents are welcome at arrival and departure, but do not stay at the camp location. This promotes your child's focus, group bonding and independence.

Camp participation starts from €795. You can pay in full upfront or choose a spread payment plan: 30% deposit on enrolment, then 2×35% collected automatically. Instalments carry €25 administration costs.

Yes! We offer an early-bird discount for participants who enrol early. The discount is shown automatically on enrolment as long as the early-bird deadline has not passed.

We accept iDEAL, credit card (Visa/Mastercard) and Bancontact via our secure payment platform Mollie. With instalment payment, collection is automatic.

Accommodation, meals and local transfers are always included. Flights are arranged separately — we support group bookings and give timely flight advice. You can also travel independently.

We communicate the recommended flight options and departure times in good time. From the airport we organise joint transport to the camp location. You receive all practical details via the parent portal after enrolment.

Our camps take place at various top European locations such as Italy, Spain and other countries with excellent training facilities. The location is listed on each camp detail page.

You can cancel the training package free of charge up to 90 days before the start. After that a tiered cancellation policy applies (see our terms & conditions). Important: extras such as flights and accommodation are booked in the participant's name and are not cancellable via ZwemExpert — for these we recommend travel insurance with cancellation cover. On request, ZwemExpert provides the booking documents for your insurer.

Yes. Up to 90 days before the start: full refund. From 90 to 60 days: 25% cancellation fee. From 60 to 30 days: 50%. Within 30 days: no refund. Consult the terms & conditions for the full details.

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance with cancellation and medical cover. It is not mandatory but protects your investment in case of unforeseen circumstances.

After enrolment you receive a welcome email with login details for the parent portal. Through the portal you track payments, complete the intake form and manage your child's details.

The intake form must be completed no later than 4 weeks before the start of the camp. You receive a reminder if this has not yet been done.

Changes to participant details are possible via the portal. For changes to the camp or cancellations, contact us at info@zwemexpert.nl.
