Coached by elite-sport professionals.
Every ExpertSwimCamp camp is led by a carefully composed team of experienced coaches with a proven elite-sport background.
What makes our coaches special?
We select coaches on a combination of technical knowledge, coaching experience and the gift of motivating young people. Each camp gets a tailor-made team.
Demonstrable elite-sport experience
Every coach has swum or coached at a high or international level themselves. No theory without practice.
Recognised coaching qualifications
Official certification or an international equivalent is a basic requirement. Supplemented with specialist courses per discipline.
Experience with youth coaching
Coaching at elite level and supervising young people are different skills. Our coaches master both.
Video-analysis skills
Coaches can analyse footage and translate it concretely into improvement points for the swimmer.
Communication strength
Feedback has to land. Our coaches are trained in giving clear, motivating and constructive feedback.
Background checks & safety protocols
All supervisors hold a certificate of good conduct and are certified in first aid and safe sport.
The specific coaches are announced 4 to 6 weeks before the start of each camp via the camp detail page and by email to registered participants. The line-up varies per camp and discipline.
How we coach
your swimmer.
Our coaches work with a proven method used at the very best swim clubs in the world. Not just training, but also understanding — so every day counts.
Training sessions are filmed above and below water. Every evening the coach reviews the footage individually with the swimmer. Concrete improvement points, visible growth.
Scientifically grounded stroke technique. Coaches correct in the water and on the deck with direct feedback. That makes every stroke more efficient.
A short mental session every evening: focus techniques, visualisation and pressure resilience. Gold is won before the start.
From start to finish: pacing, turns, finishing strokes. Coaches build a personal race plan together with each swimmer.
